Creating Hope In Our Community

Creating Hope makes me #healthynhappy

Healthy n Happy and CamGlen Radio are Creating Hope, a project that promotes positive mental health and suicide prevention through creative, engaging and impactful activities.

You can be part of this vital movement that responds to local need in Cambuslang and Rutherglen, and make a real difference to yourself and the people around you.

We are now in our second year of funding for the Creating Hope In Our Community campaign. We launched this phase with an exclusive screening of the moving, uplifting and hopeful film The Low Road, jointly hosted with Cruse Scotland. The film tells the story of Ellie, who is guilt-ridden and heartbroken after the suicide of her best friend at university. She hikes through the Highlands to find solace in some of Scotland’s most spectacular landscapes. The power of the wilderness shapes the emotional storytelling of her inward journey, and she is transformed as she moves towards recovery in nature. The event concluded with a Q&A featuring the film’s Director and Producer.
