Thank You

During the strange times we recently found ourselves in, what became clear was a great willingness from local people to help out in any way they can.

A total of 319 local residents volunteered to help with the Covid-19 response of which, 73 people helped support 1,886 households, feeding 4,099 people with 6,157 packages of food supplied by Foodbank stock and 190 local residents who regularly donated to us.

Thank you to everyone who has offered to be involved in supporting others in our community during this challenging time and for your commitment to support local residents and communities.  Thank you to all the volunteers who especially supported with food donations and deliveries.

If you are a local business who can offer support in your community please take a look at how to get involved - https://www.healthynhappy.org.uk/get-your-business-involved

If you would like to fundraise for us please take a look at this page as to all the ways you can support us - https://www.healthynhappy.org.uk/raise-money-for-us

Updated: 4th January 2021

We want to provide a safe and healthy environment for all of our participants, volunteers, guests, customers and staff.  We are therefore following government health advice and are not currently undertaking face-to-face activities indoors and our office is not open. Please be assured, however, that we are still here and willing to help however we can.  We’re still at the end of the phone and you can speak to us on 0141 646 0123, on social media, on e-mail or however you normally get in touch with us.

All our teams are still working and undertaking various activities just in a different format.

Specifically:

Bike Town:

Shop and workshop opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday 10 am – 4.30 pm (Closed Monday)
During these hours you can also call us on 0141 647 3250.

Number 18: Due to the Omicron outbreak and Government guidance, activities in our venue have stopped running face to face but some of them have moved online so check out our website or the Facebook page for further details.  We are also available for some hirers to run workshops or classes within government guidelines so please e-mail no18@healthynhappy.org.uk with your requirements.

CamGlen Radio: We are using remote solutions to keep broadcasting on 107.9FM providing fresh content including news, community announcements, programmes and more.  We are continuing our free community advertising service, so if you wish to get a message out to the communities we serve, please email whatson@camglenradio.org

Our activities: We will be continuing all our outdoor activities such as our walks and growing sessions, wherever possible. We are running online groups, videos and  have lots of other ways of chatting, learning, sharing, art projects, at-home science projects for the kids, stress info and much more throughout the winter months. You can visit our What's On page, and register for events or call us on the usual office numbers or e-mail transforminglives@healthynhappy.org.uk to find out more. If you are not already registered, contact us and join in!

Transforming Communities:  We are changing the way we engage with our communities, however we will be engaging with you all.  Some of this may be online, through facebook groups or supporting community volunteers so that people remain connected and have what they need wherever possible.
