Telling Your Story

talking about my story helps others be #healthynhappy

Telling Your Story is an anti-stigma programme that engages with the community using a range of creative and media activities:

Living Library

Volunteers with lived experience share by telling their story to small audiences.

CamGlen Radio

We broadcast weekly on discussing wellbeing topics and playing music on a theme. Find out more here.

Community Engagement

We are out in the community visiting groups, helping them reminisce through Playlist to my Life and participate in a range of community arts  projects.

Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival

We regularly participate in this festival with contributions such as our 'Wish You Were Here' postcard campaign, our 'Pockets of Calm' relaxing videos using smartphones and performances of our stories live in front of an audience, small or large.

Scottish Mental Health First Aid

This course aims to challenge the stigma around mental health issues and build skills to provide initial help to people in distress.  Find out more here.

All our Telling Your Story projects involve volunteers who are willing to share their stories to help challenge stigma and improve mental health and wellbeing in Cambuslang and Rutherglen.

Telling Your Story needs YOU! This can’t work without you, so please listen to our weekly radio show, take part in our community arts projects and/or invite our Living Library ‘human books’ to your community group or class.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Telling Your Story Radio Show broadcasts on CamGlen Radio 107.9 fm every Sunday from 1pm to 2pm.

Living Library is available at every Scottish Mental Health First Aid course.

We deliver community arts projects throughout the year. Please invite us to your group and we will be happy to come along.

Our Looking Up young people’s mental health group will be out and about with their community arts stall.
