The Parent Cafés

"As a new mother it has been a fantastic help to learn so much, especially letting my baby play with other babies"

Parent

We provide a relaxed and friendly environment where you can meet other parents/carers of new babies and enjoy light refreshments while getting practical help, support and ideas for enjoying your babies and toddlers.

Who is it for?

If you are a parent/carer living in the area of Cambuslang or Rutherglen with a baby or toddler under the age of three, you are welcome! We have two different cafes in Whitlawburn, a new baby group from birth until around walking age and a follow on group for more mobile babies and toddlers up until pre school. We also have another cafe in Burnhill for babies and toddlers up to the age of 5.

The Parent Cafe is committed to play!:

How to get involved - Just turn up

The Parent Cafe Baby Group Wednesdays 11:30am until 1:30pm from birth to crawling/walking in Whitlawburn Community Resource Centre, Belmont Road, Cambuslang, G72 8PG

The Parent Cafe Burnhill Thursdays 1pm until 3pm is for birth to pre-schoool in West & Wardlawhill Parish Church, 3 Western Avenue, G73 1JQ.

What happens at the Parent Cafe? - Lots

Most importantly the babies and hopefully Mums, Dads, Grandparents and carers too will have lots of fun while helping to give their babies the best possible start in life through a variety of activities. The baby groups provides parents/carers with a welcome cuppa, light lunch and an opportunity to meet other mums and carers and support each other. We also do a Play@Home activity and a Bookbug Singing & Rythme Session. On occasion we have guest speakers or taster sessions in response to the mums' requests, such as Money Matters visiting, Weaning or Baby Massage etc.

Upcoming Events
