Mental Health Awareness

What is it?

This programme aims to raise awareness of mental health issues and responsibilities for individuals and for businesses. Workshops inform and increase understanding of our own and others’ mental and emotional health and wellbeing, and challenge stigma by imparting knowledge and creating dialogue. Courses available include Scottish Mental Health First Aid, Mental Health Awareness, Telling Your Story and commissioned courses.

Everyone taking the courses will also learn practical approaches to the promotion of mental health improvement for individuals, staff and clients.

Who is it for?

Everyone; workshops can also be tailored for specific groups, including staff teams, groups of different ages, volunteers, managers, service users.

Duration and Format:

The programme is offered in different formats according to need.  A general introductory workshop is of 2 or 3 hours duration but can be extended to cover aspects in more depth up to a 6 hour (1 day) workshop
