What are we trying to change?

Reducing the stigma that's related to mental health issues minimising exclusion in the community of those affected by mental health issues and allowing those affected by mental health issues to have their voice heard. Understanding and awareness of mental health will increase in the community.

Local media coverage of mental health issues and events will be more positive and factual. More businesses and organisations will access mental health training and adopt mental health policies and practices. Numbers of mental health first aiders will increase VIP sessional workers and volunteers will be involved in delivery of events and of mental health first aid and awareness training and consultancy to businesses and community.
