Alcohol and Women Information Day, 15th July 2009
This event took place at the Community Matters Shop, Main Street, Rutherglen on Wednesday 15th July between 10 am and 2 pm.
The weather stayed nice for the evnt which meant we could move out onto the street. This allowed us to engage with almost 100 individuals. As well as providing literature for people we promoted alcohol free cocktails as alternatives and highlighted the difficulty when thinking about units.

Choices for Life, Strathclyde Park, 7th June 2009

The Choices Event, Lanarkshire was held at Starthclyde Park on Sunday 7th June 2009. The event is open to members of the public throughout the whole of Lanarkshire and promotes alcohol and drug services as well as healthy alternatives for young people and families to get involved in.
The C.H.I. was present to highlight the Alcohol Prevention and Education Programme - promoting safe and responsible drinking as well as personal safety. We also promoted all the themes of the Community Health Initiative highlighting the healthy options available to individuals. We offered fruit salad tasters to people and were kept very busy throughout the day dishing out hundreds of taster pots!
